Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic server logs — such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp of each request — for security, diagnostics, and load balancing. These logs are retained briefly and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.

Your Images Stay on Your Device #

The most important privacy guarantee of WebP.wiki is that your images never leave your device. The conversion engine is loaded as WebAssembly and executes inside your browser: files are decoded, re-encoded, and downloaded locally. There is no upload step and no server-side storage of your images.

No images are uploaded, stored, or transmitted. Conversion happens 100% locally in your browser.

Cookies and Analytics #

We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand which pages and tools are most useful to visitors. This tells us aggregate page views and approximate geographic regions without identifying individual visitors. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking.

Third-Party Services #

Our pages may load fonts and other static assets from third-party hosts. These providers may process technical information (such as your IP address) according to their own privacy policies. We do not control those services and encourage you to review their policies if you have concerns.
